What You Can Now Do
Context Memo now gives you a dedicated Chat page under your brand's Content section, where you can view and manage conversations, unanswered questions, and offers, with chat settings you configure yourself. Chat activity is no longer something happening off to the side of your brand. It's a reviewable record: what buyers asked, what chat answered, what it couldn't answer, and which offers were in play. The practical change is in your weekly review. Instead of guessing which buyer questions are unresolved, you read the unanswered list and decide what to publish next.
Where It Is in Context Memo
Open your brand, go to the Content section, and select Chat. The page holds your conversation history for that brand, a view of unanswered questions, your chat offers, and chat-specific settings that control how chat behaves on the brand. Settings are scoped to the brand you're in, so each brand in your account is configured separately.
How to Use It
- Go to Content > Chat in the brand you want to review. You land on that brand's conversation list rather than an account-wide feed.
- Open a conversation to read the full exchange. You see the questions a visitor asked in sequence and how chat responded, so you can judge whether the answer matched your current positioning.
- Switch to the unanswered questions view. Each entry is a question chat could not answer from your existing content. Treat the recurring ones as content gaps, not support tickets.
- Review your offers. Confirm the offers presented in chat are the ones you want in front of buyers right now, and retire the ones tied to stale campaigns.
- Open chat settings and configure the behavior you want for this brand. Save, and the settings apply to that brand's chat. Repeat per brand if you manage more than one.
- Turn the highest-frequency unanswered questions into memo topics. Draft and publish a citation-grade memo on your own domain, then watch whether the same question stops appearing in the unanswered list.
That last step is the point of the page. Chat tells you which questions your content does not answer. Memos close the gap. Citation tracking tells you whether AI models picked up the new source.
Why We Built It
Customers told us the same thing: there was no dedicated interface to review conversations or manage chat-related questions and offers. Chat activity existed, but it wasn't organized anywhere you could act on it. That cost real signal. Buyers were asking questions in chat that your published content did not answer, and nobody on the marketing team ever saw the pattern. The same blind spot we describe in AI answers applied inside your own site: the question got asked, something answered it, and you had no record of whether the answer was right.
Unanswered questions are the clearest content gap data you have, because the buyer typed them unprompted. Now they sit in one list, attached to the brand, next to the conversations and offers they came from.
What It Does Not Do Yet
A few things stay manual in this release, and we'd rather you know the boundaries before you build a process around the page:
- Unanswered questions do not generate memos automatically. You select the question, then run memo generation. We kept the human decision in place because not every question deserves a published answer on your domain.
- Chat settings are per brand, not global. Multi-brand accounts configure each brand's chat separately. There is no account-level default yet.
- Chat is not a CRM or a help desk. Conversation records live in Context Memo for content and visibility purposes. Keep HubSpot as your system of record for contacts and pipeline, and use the HubSpot integration for that side of the workflow.
One note on fit. The Chat page is most useful once you have content and traffic on your domain, because unanswered questions only accumulate when real buyers are asking. If your site is pre-launch or has little inbound traffic, start with foundational content and memo publishing, then come back to chat once there's volume to read.
