What You Can Now Do
Context Memo has shipped Brand Chat, where you can chat with an AI assistant about your brand in a new conversational interface instead of navigating structured reports to find a single answer. Ask how models currently describe your category position, which competitors keep appearing against you, or what the last scan said about a specific prompt, and you get a direct answer drawn from your brand's indexed data. The task this changes is the mid-meeting question. When someone asks "are we showing up for this yet," you type the question in plain language rather than filtering a dashboard, building a view, and exporting it.
Where It Is in Context Memo
Brand Chat is its own surface inside your brand workspace, in the same area as scan results and your memo library. The screen holds a chat input, the running conversation, and answers grounded in the search-backed index for whichever brand is currently selected. This deploy also includes a public endpoint for the chat engine, which means the interface can be reached outside the authenticated dashboard. If you intend to use that endpoint, treat it as a published surface and review what sits in the index first.
How to Use It
- Open Brand Chat from your brand workspace and confirm the selected brand matches the one you want to ask about. Answers are scoped to that brand's index, so a mismatch returns accurate data about the wrong company.
- Ask one question in plain language. Start with something you would otherwise look up manually: how models describe your differentiators, which competitor names recur in your scanned answers, what a specific buyer prompt returned. You get a written answer assembled from indexed scan and memo data rather than a chart you have to interpret.
- Follow up in the same thread to narrow the answer. Restrict it to one model, or to one competitor, and the assistant keeps the prior context. You do not restate the question.
- Verify anything you plan to act on against the underlying record. Open the scan or memo page the answer refers to. Chat is a faster way to read your data, not a substitute for the source of truth you would show a stakeholder.
- Move the finding into the memo workflow. When the conversation surfaces a gap (a prompt where competitors are cited and you are not, a description that is out of date), go to memo generation and publish against it. Brand Chat tells you where to act; the memo is what changes the answer.
- Re-ask after your next scan to see whether the description moved. The same question run twice, before and after publishing, is the cleanest check you have on whether a memo did its job.
Why We Built It
Customers kept telling us the same thing: they wanted to ask questions about their brand in natural language instead of navigating structured reports or dashboards. The data was already there. Reaching it meant knowing which report held the answer, which filters to set, and how to read the resulting view. That cost two things. Questions from executives and sales leaders went unasked because retrieving the answer took longer than the meeting allowed, and the people closest to the buyer conversation were the least able to query the system themselves.
What It Does Not Do Yet
Brand Chat reads your indexed brand data. It does not act on your behalf, so you cannot generate or publish a memo from inside the conversation; that step stays in the memo workflow where review and schema markup are handled properly.
Answers reflect the state of the index, not live model behavior. If you published a memo an hour ago, run a scan before asking whether anything changed, or you will get the pre-publish picture back with confidence.
The index covers your brand data in Context Memo. It is not a general research assistant, and it will not pull in material you have never connected or scanned. If the underlying coverage is thin, the chat answers will be thin in the same places. Brands with an established domain and existing content get more useful responses here than brands still building their first pages, for the same reason their scans are more useful.
One operational note for teams with security review requirements: the public endpoint is new in this deploy. If your organization restricts which surfaces can be reached without authentication, confirm your configuration before you circulate the link internally.
